pendulum = A mass hung from a fixed support so that it is able to swing freely under the influence of gravity. Since the motion of pendulums is regular and periodic, they are often used to regulate the action of various devices, especially clocks.

まずはこの動画をご紹介。
自動車保険会社のCMですが・・・






男性ふたりが嘘をついているというのは明らかなのだけれど、なぜに「発火」するのかがわからず。
お話の「ピノキオ」では、ピノキオが嘘をひとつつく度に鼻が伸びました。
だからきっとそういう類いのお話がこの国にはあるのかもしれない、と思いつつ、娘に訊いてみましたらば・・・


　よく子供たちが誰かをからかうときとかに使うんだよ、"Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!"



へぇ〜〜〜知らなかった！
